Seeking Director of Training

The Director of Training is the academic head of AFDC. They are responsible for the success and management of the annual National workshop and other AFDC training initiatives. This includes responsibility for publicity and member engagement around AFDC events. The role is responsible for ensuring that the training structures that make up AFDC are being run effectively, and to ensure financial stability and growth for the organization through targeted income generation and prudent asset management.

The successful applicant will have strong organization and communication skills, an understanding of pedagogical theory and best practice in stage combat training, and knowledge of coordinating, budgeting, and executing training events. They will have a strong desire to see AFDC training be accessible to all performers in Canada.

Qualifications:
FDC Certified Instructor
Proven ability to budget
Planning and coordination experience
Strong background in stage combat pedagogy

Compensation:
This is a part-time honorarium position. Current compensation is set to $3,300 annually with opportunities to earn additional honorariums based on financial performance of AFDC workshops. An annual review of compensation will be conducted with increases based on performance.
