Workshop Registration

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak and associated restrictions on travel and gatherings, we have been forced to cancel the 2020 National Workshop.

From the Director of Training

To our incredible membership:

After monitoring the developments of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation over the past few weeks, we at AFDC have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Nationals Workshop at UBC.

Thank you so much to everyone who had registered with us – Christopher Mott, our Director of Administration, has sent out information regarding payments made and you will be able to find it in your inboxes.

Our hope is to be able to run the Nationals Workshop in Vancouver at the next available opportunity. In the meantime I want to thank you all for your patience, resilience and generosity of spirit.

For members with outstanding conditional hours: we are postponing the completion deadline for your hours indefinitely until the situation with COVID-19 is resolved.

We do encourage everyone to stay active during this time in order to maintain skills. If you’re looking for advice on how to keep up practice while at home on your own, please feel free to contact us. We are happy to help and support this community however we can. As a stage combat organization, safety is always our first priority – that means not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Please feel free to reach out – our inboxes are always open.

Wishing you all the best,

Louisa
