Our newest Fight Master, Tammy Everett!
The College of Fight Masters is pleased to welcome FDC's newest Fight Master, our very own Director of the Academy Tammy Everett!
Tammy Everett is a certified Fight Instructor and Fight Director with FDC, and also the current Director of Training. She has taught and lectured in cities across several provinces and states including Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa, Montreal, Saskatoon, Vancouver, Detroit, and Philadelphia. Tammy uses a focused, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach to both teaching Stage Combat, and Fight Directing; a practice which has shaped their focus through their training, their apprenticeship, and now their teaching career.
Martial principles, and telling a compelling story through expertise and training, is also a foundation of her teaching, and Fight Directing style; having trained in Wu Xing for over 15 years, and as a fencer (sabre and épée). Tammy is also a singer, and actor who has performed in Canada, the USA, and Europe, and who has worked in theatre, musical theatre, film, television, and recording studios.
