Definition
These blocks generate or absorb greater force for a variety for a variety of purposes. Hard blocks can be used to counter strikes, pushes, holds, and attempts to grab or choke. They can involve actions as deflecting, opposing, striking, and shielding. Force is generated by using twisting, snapping, thrusting, or turning movements of body and limbs and involve areas of the body such as hands, elbows, upper arms, leg, and foot.
